Peggy P. McNair Charnock, 88 years of age, of Mint Hill, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate in Charlotte.
Peggy was born May 29, 1936, in Aiken, SC, to the late William and Thelma Peacock. She was also preceded in death by husbands, Harry H. McNair (May 18, 1977) and Ryland E. Charnock (August 7, 2019).
Peggy was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, Meme, and sister.
Those left to cherish Peggy's memory include son, Jonathan D. (Kathy) McNair; son, Harry H. (Cathy Crosland, MD) McNair; daughter, Kimberly McNair (Scott) Hill; brother, Robert M. Peacock; 7 grandchildren, Jonathan (Lisa) McNair, Jr., Renee McNair (Scottie) Austin, Dr. Grant (Shereen) Hill, Natalie Hill, Rusty (Allison) Watson, Bailey Crosland and Dr. Clare Crosland; 8 great-grandchildren, Noah McNair, Aly McNair, Camden Austin, Crosby Austin, Brody Watson, Hunter Watson, Madison Watson, and Sawyer Watson; and nephew, Robert Peacock, Jr.
Peggy will be laid to rest during a private committal service at Sunset Memory Gardens.
