Obituary of Peggy Ann Crites
Autobiographical Obituary of Peggy Crites
By Peggy Crites
On February 12, 1938, Charles and Mildred Langston became the parents of a little girl, Peggy Ann. They had been trying for nine years to fulfill this task and at last it happened.
When Peggy was eleven months old her parents bought the farm northeast of Sapulpa that Peggy lived on at the time of her death.
When growing up Peggy was an only child and lived very remotely on that farm. She had many pets, everything from a pig, skunk, monkey, dogs, cats, horses, calves, and chickens at different times. But when she was seven years old, she received her favorite pet of all time, a baby sister by the name of Beverly Jane.
Peggy graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1956. In 1957, she married Johnny Crites and in 1958 she gave birth to her daughter Julie Ann, and in 1962 she had Polly Ann. Her daughters have been the biggest award in her life.
In 1970, Peggy went to work for the State of Oklahoma, Department of Human Services. She retained this job for 30 years and retired in 2000 as a supervisor.
Her life has been so blessed that she thanked God daily for her parents, sister, husband, daughters, son-in-laws, six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. She is now ready to go meet her maker and thank Him one more time for the life He gave her here on Earth.
On Sunday, August 18, 2024, at 7:21pm in the Tulsa St. John's hospital, Peggy did just that--she "met her maker" and we have no doubt that she bowed before Him and thanked Him for her life.
