Peggy Ann Payne Davidson, 87, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at her home in Aberdeen, MS. She was born on July 17, 1938, in Tupelo, MS. to Douglas Payne and Ruth Palmer Payne. She attended Lawhorn Elementary in East Tupelo and finished at Humes High School in Memphis, TN. She worked for years at Shelaine Restaurant and then co-owner of Davidson & Sons Welding and Mechanical Piping. She was a member of First Christian Church in Aberdeen.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, January 28, 2026, at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Bro. David Snyder officiating. Burial in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery.
She is survived by 2 sisters, Dixie Smith, Tupelo and Billee Lambe (Bobby), Hornsby, TN; 3 sons, Chuck Davidson (Martha), Hamilton, Ricky Davidson, Baldwyn, and Kendall Davidson (Tina), Aberdeen; 4 grandchildren, Chris Davidson (Lauren), Columbus, Ashley Davidson (Brittany), Tupelo, Brandon Davidson, Aberdeen, Austin Davidson (Jennifer), Aberdeen; 6 great grandchildren, Ethan, Evan, Carrington, Bailey, Lydia and McKenzie Davidson; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents; one sister Debbie Brigman; her son, Wayne Davidson and daughter-in-law, Melinda Davidson.
The family would like to pay special thanks to her caregivers from Legacy Hospice; Susan Quinn, Deanarae Beck, and special family friend Dora Cunningham.
Pallbearers will be Chris Davidson, Ashley Davidson, Austin Davidson, Ricky Pennington and Donnie Easter. Honorary pallbearers are Ethan and Evan Davidson and Brandon Davidson.
Visitation will be from 10:00 until the service hour at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, Aberdeen, MS or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
