Peggy Elaine Hurley Dunn, born on October 20, 1949, in Macon, Georgia, passed away on November 3, 2024. She was the daughter of the late J.C. and Martha Hurley.
Peggy was married to James Larry Dunn, Sr. for 50 wonderful years, creating a legacy of love and devotion that will forever be cherished by those who knew them. Together, they built a warm and welcoming home, filled with laughter and cherished memories.
Peggy worked as a supply clerk at Robins Air Force Base, where she was known for her dedication and kindness. Her passion for life extended beyond her career; she was a devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves, a spirited bowler, and above all, a family woman who treasured every moment spent with her loved ones. She was a longtime member of Oakland Baptist Church, where she volunteered her time and served on multiple ministries over the years.
Her spirit, warmth, and love will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband, James Larry Dunn, Sr.; children, Kim Woolfolk (Jonathan) of Bonaire, Nancy Felten (Ken) of Meansville, and James L. Dunn, Jr. of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Hayley Ortega (Tony) of Bonaire, Bryce Dunn of Perry, Brad Dunn of Warner Robins, and Gracie Felten of Barnesville; great-grandchildren, Summer and Malachi Ortega of Bonaire; brother, Lynn Hurley (Carol) of Attapulgus; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Oakland Baptist Church. Afterward, Peggy will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
