A memorial service for Peggy Carolyn Hollingsworth Harper will be held Monday, January 30, 2023, 6:30 p.m. at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until service time. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-Downtown is in charge of arrangements.
Of everything in her life, Peggy loved our lord. She was a devout Christian and she always shared her love of Christ with everyone. She fiercely loved her children and grandchildren and would do anything for them. Peggy was at church each time the doors opened to worship the lord. She was an amazing piano player…she has said numerous times that she might forget how to write and how to do other day to day things, but God gave her this talent and she would always know how to play.
Peggy was always animated and full of life! She had a love for fun and enjoyed laughing and goofing off with her friends and family. Peggy will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bruce Harper, her sons Jeremy (Rebecca) and Jason (Anne), her grandchildren, Natalee, Callie, Monroe, Destiny (Cody), and Brandon, her great grandchildren Petyn, unborn baby, Blakely, & Cason, her brothers Leo, Harold, and Donnie, her sisters, Sherry and Deborah, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Peggy is preceded in death by her father Harold Hollingsworth Sr and her mother, Winnie Grace Hollingsworth, and grandson Camron Fuller.
