Graveside funeral services for Peggy Marie Hutchison will be Friday, June 6, 2025, 11 a.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Brother Dennis Trull will be officiating the service.
Mrs. Hutchison, 88 years old, died at Charter Senior Living of Paris on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Peggy and her late husband, Don Hutchison, traveled the world when Don was enlisted during his career in the Navy. They lived in Washington State, Maryland, Texas, Mississippi, and Florida before they returned to their beloved childhood home of McKenzie. The couple operated two businesses in McKenzie- the former Montgomery Ward Store and Tri-County Transportation. Mrs. Hutchison was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was involved in supporting foreign missions through fundraising. She produced and sold cookbooks and also made aprons to support missions as well.
Peggy Hutchison is survived by her children Timothy Hutchison (Patty) of Jackson, Michael Hutchison (Marcie) of McKenzie, and Donna Watson of Georgia. Her sister Martha Hastings. Grandchildren Nicholas Hutchison (Heather), Tricia Gulikers, Amy Kruzich (Zack), Matthew Hutchison (Nicole), Megan Gottshall, Susan Baird (Charlie), Sarah Farias (Kleber), and Daniel Watson. Mrs. Hutchison also had 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Donald Hutchison. Mother, Francis Allen. Father, Roy Allen. Stepmother, Mattie Allen. Two sisters, Mary Ann Syndor and Faye Nell Allen. As well as her brother, Phillip Allen.
