Peggy Johnson Obituary
Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Peggy Coats Johnson, age 88 of Old School Road passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield surrounded by her loving family. The Johnson Family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday, July 27, 2023 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, and other times at the home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM Friday, July 28, 2023 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. John Gardner. Burial will follow in the Burnell Baptist Church Cemetery in Four Oaks.
Mrs. Johnson was born on August 18, 1934 in Johnston County, NC to the late W. Rufus and Lillian Garris Coats. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby G. Johnson. Mrs. Johnson retired from textiles and was a member of Burnell Baptist Church in Four Oaks where she taught Sunday School for more than 40 years.
Survivors include her son, Byron Johnson of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Amber Wise and husband, Brandon, Jeremy Johnson and wife, Heidi; great-grandchildren, Logan Wise, Brooklyn Wise, Connor Dean Johnson, Zachary Barefoot, and Warren Barefoot; sister-in-law, Glenda Coats of Willow Spring; special friend, Anne Johnson of Benson; several nieces and nephews.
