Peggy loved God, God's green earth and mankind. She touched countless lives throughout her schooldays, professional career, and personal life. Her warmth, joy, devotion, and compassion knew no bounds and she could laugh like no other. She was teacher and counselor at heart and was a natural at human interaction and spiritual and emotional guidance.

Peggy was a graduate of Ole Miss as well as Loyola University, New York Theological Seminary and Georgia Southern College. She had a career as physical education instructor, director of Christian education, guidance counselor, elderly caregiver and chaplain and attained numerous marks of certification, achievement and recognition in those and other related fields. She was a member of Redbud Springs Cornerstone Church in Kosciusko.

Most of all she was a unique and exceptional human being who loved and cherished her family and fellow man and was exceedingly generous to all. Her simple pleasures included drinking diet coke, driving on the Natchez Trace Parkway, and enjoying the presence of her beloved dog Nick.

She is survived by her companion W.C. Monk, her nephew Jeff Keady (Susan) of Thomaston, GA, great nephew Aaron Keady (Courtney) and new great grand nephew Archer James "Archie" Keady of Olathe, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents Judge William Colbert Keady and Dorothy Thompson Keady and her brother William C. "Bill" Keady Jr.

Leon and Arches Lewis

December 1, 2025

Once upon a time an angel held our hand.
She wiped away our tears and helped us understand. Our time on earth is brief, there are lessons to be learned. We had one more day Leon stood as I sit at your feet holding your warm hand surrounded with love ones. Ma we will miss your laughter, jokes most of all your beautiful smile. Thank you for adopting us as your children. Love Lee 'Leon' and Arches Lewis
