Peggy Jean McMillan

Peggy Jean McMillan, age 77, peacefully departed this life on December 27, 2025. Born on March 27, 1948, Peggy lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family, friends, and faith.

Peggy was retired after years of dedicated service, having worked at Radford Army Ammunition Plant and Volvo. She took pride in her work ethic, but her greatest joy was always found in the time she spent with those she loved most. Peggy was known for her infectious laughter, genuine caring spirit, and warm, friendly personality that made everyone feel welcome. Her presence could light up a room, and her kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Peggy was one of eight children born to the late Robert and Mable McMillan of Gary West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved siblings: Robert D. McMillan, Richard L. McMillan, Doug McMillan, and Bonnie McMillan.

She leaves to cherish her memory and rejoice in the blessings of her life: Nikco McMillan Parham (daughter); Nick and Jesse McMillan (son and daughter-in-law); Shon McMillan (son); sisters Marva Dooley, Barbara Turner, and Gwen Purcell; grandchildren Gabby Parham, Alden Parham, Jasmine Helvey, Jordan Helvey, Isiah McMillan, and Maddox McMillan; great-grandchildren Marshall-Lee (Lucky) and Marlee-Gean; and two very special people, Terrell Burks and Jonathan Logan; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were touched by her love and grace.

Peggy's legacy lives on through the many lives she nurtured, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave so freely. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she has answered God's calling and now rests in eternal peace.

A visitation will be held on Friday January 2, 2026 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg, VA.
