In Loving Memory

Peggy M. McMullin

12/6/1940 - 12/6/2025

Peggy was born in Kaiser, Arkansas, and spent her childhood between the beautiful landscapes of Arkansas and Louisiana, places that shaped her love for nature, learning, and community. She was a proud graduate of LSUS, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Economics, followed by a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Statistics. During her time at the university, she was recognized as the LSUS Business Student of the Year - an achievement she cherished.

Peggy began her professional career at Western Electric, where she was known for her dedication, intelligence, and strong work ethic. Alongside her career, she discovered her talent for writing and became a published poet, a fact that delighted both her family and friends.

Peggy later married and welcomed two children: Larry F. Getsinger, Jr. and his wife Karen of Louisiana, and Connie Sarnowski and her husband Francis of Florida. Her family continued to grow with her beloved grandchildren, Daniel Getsinger and his wife Renee of Louisiana, and Drew Getsinger of Louisiana; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Kason Getsinger, Amelia Getsinger, and Jaime Hudson of Louisiana. She is also survived by her nephew, Randy McMullen, and his wife Suzy of Florida.

More than 30 years ago, Peggy moved to Florida, a place she quickly grew to love and call home. There, she continued to embrace the joys of life with enthusiasm and grace. Peggy was an avid gardener who delighted in sharing her plants with friends. She was also a passionate world traveler, a devoted reader of her Bible, and someone who simply loved spending time with those closest to her. Her friendships were deeply important to her, and she nurtured them with warmth and loyalty.

Peggy's life was a beautiful blend of curiosity, faith, creativity, and love. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her generosity, and the joy she brought into the lives of others.
