Peggy Lee Middendorf, born on February 8, 1947, peacefully passed away on December 28, 2024. She was a beloved member of her community, known for her kind spirit and vibrant personality. Peggy had a love for life that was reflected in many passions, including her cherished cowboy hat and her delightful assortment of snowmen.
An avid animal lover, Peggy was also profoundly dedicated to the arts and crafts, often creating memorable projects that brought joy to those around her. Her commitment to youth was evident in her active involvement with St. Al's Athletic Association, where she coached softball and soccer, nurturing the talents of countless young athletes.
Described as very friendly and outgoing, Peggy was indeed a people person, thriving in the company of friends and family. She enjoyed the lively presence of her grandchildren, reveling in the joy and vitality they brought to her life.
Peggy leaves behind her dear children, Mary (David) Haley, Paul (Deborah) Middendorf, Karen Middendorf, and Peggy (Don) Mackay. Her legacy continues through her adoring grandchildren, Bobby (Elizabeth), Ricky, Tommy (Erica), Dakota, Paul III, Caitlyn, Craig, Steven, Kyle (Samantha), Stephanie, Chelsey, Adam (Amber), and Megan, as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Kevin, Rhett, Ruth, and Meredith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Middendorf, and her sister, Lana Butler. Peggy is also survived by her sister, Helen (late Tom) Brown.
A visitation with family will be held on January 18, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a memorial service from 10:30 AM at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home Delhi, located at 4619 Delhi Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45238. Memorials in her name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Peggy Lee Middendorf’s warmth and passion for life will be remembered fondly by all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.
