Peggy Lewis Miller

Peggy Lewis Miller passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025 at the age of 92. She lived a long and full life and is survived by two daughters, Cindy Hileman (Rob) and Vicki Balderama, 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years Roy Miller, parents Lundy and Leona Lewis, sisters Shirley Underhill and Betty Lewis and her oldest daughter Debra Bailey. Peggy was born in Yuba City and lived in Live Oak until moving to Yuba City as a teenager. She attended Yuba City High School where she was involved with school civics and learned to love business and politics. She married Roy, her high school sweetheart, and they settled down in Yuba City. Peggy helped run several businesses in Yuba City which included Miller Custom Paint & Decorating and The Refuge restaurant. She had a strong work ethic and helped train disabled individuals in the workplace. Peggy was involved in Fremont/Rideout Medical Foundation, Soroptimist International and Sutter County One Stop. She was an avid SF Giants and SF 49ers fan and never gave up on them. Peggy's main passion was for politics, and she worked hard to make an impact in the area, believing strongly in her patriotic values. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was very dedicated to her family, and everyone enjoyed gathering at her house for holidays. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
