Peggy's educational pursuit led her to earn both a Bachelor and Master of Arts in the field of psychology.
Her professional journey was nothing short of remarkable. She was a true renaissance woman. She was a professor at San Jacinto College who later went into business. The lessons she learned in owning a coffee shop and other business ventures became a launching pad for bigger things. She went online in 1989 where she began helping others build websites. She helped many become leaders in the world of business and was considered a titan in her field. Some even referred to her as their 'secret weapon' behind their success. Her influence extended to the business literature world, where she became a best-selling Amazon author and co-authored several influential business books. Her intellectual contributions were a testament to her belief in the power of education, determination, resilience and continuous growth.
Outside the office, Peggy found joy and solace in her personal interests. An accomplished pianist, she often shared the beauty of music with those around her. Her love for travel, lighthouses, waterfalls, beaches and reading opened doors to new worlds and ideas, which she explored with unbridled enthusiasm. She traveled to 41 of the 50 states and 20 foreign countries. Above all, Peggy's role as a mother to her sons Blake, Taylor, and Will, and as a grandmother to Magnolia and Liberty, who know her as "Cookie" was where she drew her greatest strength and happiness. Her daughter-in-law Kali Murrah also held a special place in her heart. She often referred to her as her "daughter-in-love".
Peggy's life was a vivid tapestry of caring and contribution. She relished in the act of raising her sons and took immense pride in their accomplishments. Her nurturing, sweet spirit extended to all who knew her, as she was always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her legacy is one of compassion, resilience, and the profound impact of helping others often seeing needs others overlooked. One of her best friends remarked that she was always the voice of reason.
