Mrs. Peggy Shook Ogle

Mrs. Peggy Shook Ogle, 84, of Connelly Springs passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at her residence following a period of declining health. Peggy was born January 14, 1933 in Burke County to the late Clyde Shook, Sr. and Ruby Decker Shook. She attended Hildebran First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Belvin Ogle, Jr.; daughter, Judy Wesson; sisters, Elizabeth Thompson and Martha Shook; and brother, Bill Shook. Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Ogle Richards of the home; sisters, Bernice Gragg and husband Walter, Ruth Crump and husband William "Bill, and Linda Hart; brothers, Frank Shook, Clyde Shook, Jr., and Cecil Shook; grandchildren, Kerrie Yoder Pruitt (Sonny, Abby, and Rose), Lori Westerfield (Emma and Meea), and Leslie Williams (Tucker and Tess). Also surviving are numerous nieces , nephews, and her fur babies Missy and Gabby. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday November 24, 2017 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with the Rev. Ron Arndt officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care at 1721 Enon Rd. Valdese, NC 28690.
