Peggy Pethan Obituary

PEGGY ANN PETHAN Peggy Ann Pethan, 68, a resident of Boonville, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, at the University of Missouri Hospital & Clinics. Peggy was born on November 24, 1956, in Brewton, Alabama, the daughter of Eugene Thomas and Alice (Smith) Keller. On February 15, 1974, in Boonville, she married Daniel R. "Danny" Pethan, and he survives. Peggy was a go-getter and someone who had to always be doing something. She loved being outside, tending to her flower gardens and working in the yard. She was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals. She loved to cook and was always up for preparing a meal for anyone who showed up to eat. She loved her family and cherished the time that she was able to spend with them, but especially loved the time spent with her grandchildren, as they were her world. In addition to her husband of 51 years she will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her four children, Matthew Pethan and wife Chastity "Chas" of Boonville, Adrienna Borghardt and husband David of Prairie Home, Kurt Pethan and wife Bethany of Jamestown, and Jake Pethan and wife Courtney of Prairie Home; eight grandchildren, Wyatt Borghardt and wife Cara, Clayton Pethan, Hunter Pethan, Austin Borghardt, Carter Pethan, Zoey Pethan, Lilianna Pethan, and Alivya Pethan; one great grandson, Liam Borghardt; two nieces, Hannah Peel and Sarah Kloeckener. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. Private family services will be held in Clark's Fork Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Prairie Home Booster Club or Clark's Fork Lutheran Church, c/o Howard-Millard Funeral Home, 1397 W. Ashley Rd. Boonville, MO 65233. Arrangements are under the direction of Howard-Millard Funeral Home, 1397 W. Ashley Rd., Boonville, MO 65233. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.howardfh.com
