Peggy Price, 90, of Danville, passed away on August 17, 2024. She was born on October 25, 1933 to the late James Pratt and Lucile (Curtis) Redmon. Peggy married Jesse Marion Price on August 6, 1955 and were happily married until the time of his passing in 2012. She and Jesse owned and operated Stilesville Liquor store in Stilesville, Indiana for many years together. Peggy was a member of the Neighborhood Club and was a former member of the Danville Christian Church. She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, canning and bird watching. Peggy was also an avid Indiana University Hoosier basketball fan, Chicago Cubs fan, alongside the Indianapolis Colts. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Marion Price. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home at 1:00pm, where friends may visit from 11:00am until time of service. Burial will follow to Stilesville Cemetery. Survivors include her sons, Stephen (Jan) Price and Jeffrey (Suzie) Price; daughters, Rhonda (Thomas) Burke and Michelle (Dave) Draschil; sister, Toni (Tim) Hayes; 3 grandchildren, Cassie (Evan) Glunt, Jessica (Kyle Collis)Price and Allie (Spencer Woods) Price; 1 great grandchild, Charleigh Glunt.
