Peggy Ann Scully

Peggy Ann Scully, 85, born on October 16, 1940, in Buncombe County, NC, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 11, 2025, at Elizabeth House.

Peggy was a cherished sister, aunt, loving grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her devotion to her family was unparalleled; she loved them more than anything else in the world. She carried the memories and love of her family with her throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Ingle and Mary Swann Ingle, and her beloved husband, James Scully, with whom she shared 37 meaningful years until his passing in 2003. Despite the years, Peggy's love for James endured, showcasing the strength of their connection.

A graveside service to honor her life will be held on December 17, 2025, at Crawford Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde, NC, beginning at 1:00 PM with pastor Andy McDevitt officiating.

Peggy Ann Scully will be remembered for her unwavering love for family, her kind spirit, and the lasting impact she made on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and togetherness will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
