Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Jane Swindell, age 85, will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Bradford Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 12 p.m. until service time.
Mrs. Peggy, a retired factory employee, was born on August 8, 1939, in Walnut, Mississippi, and passed away at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN, on February 25, 2025.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Porter Swindell, and her parents, Odell and Emily Jones.
She is survived by one daughter, Vicky (Randy) Harper of Bradford; one son, Terry (Betsy) Swindell of Jackson; one sister, Sue (Charles) McKee of Memphis; three grandchildren, Joe (Johnna) Alexander, Dillon (Molly) Alexander, and Claire (Katie) Swindell; and three great-grandchildren, Channing Alexander, Harper Alexander, and Heidi Alexander.
