Peggy Joyce Taylor

Mrs. Peggy Joyce Taylor, 79, of Ellaville, passed away on April 13, 2025, at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 2:00PM in the chapel of Way-Watson Funeral Home in Ellaville with Rev. Steven Golden and Rev. Mark Poole officiating. Burial will follow in Ellaville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Timothy Taylor, Ben Taylor, Dylan Albritton, Dalton Welch, Michael Taylor, and Seth Taylor. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Taylor was born July 17, 1945, in Eastman, GA to Milton and Gladys Robinson Williams. She was a member of Seville Baptist Church in Seville, GA. Mrs. Taylor loved the Lord and reading her Bible. She was a devoted pastor’s wife for 59 years to her husband, Rev. Roy Taylor, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Taylor loved a good cup of coffee and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Benny Williams and a sister, Patricia Thompson.

Survivors include her children, Rhonda and Shain Fricke of Warner Robins, Sondra and Johnny Chancellor of Roberta, Cyndi and Scott Albritton of Ellaville, Roy and Jeanette Taylor of Oglethorpe and Norman and Melissa Taylor of Cordele; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great grandchild; a brother, Milton Williams and his wife, Terri of Jeffersonville, GA; several nieces and nephews; and her fur babies.
