Peggy Watkins Obituary
Peggy Jean Watkins, 72 years old of Akron Ohio sadly left us on November 24, 2023. She was born in Brookhaven MS. To the late Charles and Mae Etta "Marry" Watkins.
Peggy attended South High "Big Blue "where she graduated in 1969. She was a great cheerleader and was known for her flips, toe jumps,and splits. One of the best times of her life.
Peggy leaves behind her loving daughter Deon, son in-law Theodore "Teddy" McCrae, her grand daughters Darian Marshay Meadows and Tyler Jean D. McCrae. She had 4 great grandchildren: Bryan, A'Mya, Da'Rya, and KaMyla "Kj".
Peggy, had all together six siblings, preceded in death were sisters: Thelma Marie, Sharon "Sookie", Deborah (Debbie) and brothers: Michael and Anthony "Buck" Watkins all of Akron Ohio.
Surviving sister Beverly,William Smith also of Akron Ohio.
Peggy was an insurance adjuster and an auditor of over 20 years for Aetna and Summa Health Care. She also later on in life became a bartender at B&J's lounge.
Peggy had some great friendships which lasted well over 62yrs. She will be truly missed dearly for all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Calling hours will be held at the Hummel Funeral Home located at 500 E. Exchange St. in Akron, OH 44304 Saturday December 9, 2023 from 11:00am - 1:00pm. A funeral service will follow at 1:00pm.
