Peggy Ann (Williams) Skeens went to be with the Lord on May 7, 2025, at Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, TN. She was the daughter of Jessie Barnes and Lula Mae Doran Barnes. Peggy worked many years as a seamstress. She was a funny, kind, God loving lady that loved everyone; was loved by everyone and she touched many lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Jessie Barnes, Lula Mae Spears and stepfather, Rant Spears; brother, Jimmy Barnes; sisters, Janice Fannon, Patsy Whitaker and Bobby Barnes; sister-in-law, Ann Barnes, niece, Becky Repass; and nephews, David Whitaker and Randy Barnes.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Tina Bowen (Tony McCracken), John Hyatt, Jr. and Glenn "Tater" Williams; grandchildren, Katie Bowen (Matt Keppler), John Edward Hyatt (Blair), Patrick Hyatt (Ashley Forrester), Natasha Cradic, Summer, Austin, and Tyler Williams and Dennie Henson; great-grandchildren, Phoenix, Jacoby, Jade, Kendall, Stella, Lucas, Tessa, & Remi; special brother-in-law, Claude Whitaker; special nieces, Sherry and Sarah; special nephews, Terry, Rick and Chuck; and several other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 2630 Highway 75, Blountville, TN. The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Robinson officiating.
A burial service will be held at a later date.
