Peggy Fowler Wilson, 72, of Pelion, SC passed away at home on Sunday, May 18, 2025. Funeral services will be held at two o'clock p.m., Friday, May 23, 2025 at Dolorosa Worship Center, 376 Old Charleston Rd., Pelion, SC 29123 with the Reverends Stefan Dover and Matt Elmore officiating; burial will follow in the Wayside Baptist Tabernacle Cemetery, 205 Pine St., Pelion, SC 29123. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at Dolorosa Worship Center. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Brian Autrey, Brent Collins, Charles Dheel, Brian McCarson, David McCarson and Kevin McCarson. Memorial contributions may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Donation Processing Center, P.O. Box 5041
Boone, IA 50950-0041.
Born in Loris, SC, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Joseph "Joe" Fowler, Sr. and Jessie Marie Harrelson Fowler. Peggy served in the U.S. Army National Guard. She was a caregiver, having retired from Oakleaf Assisted Living. She loved taking care of everyone; she enjoyed eating at Waffle House and drinking coffee. Peggy loved her sons and her family very much and will be missed deeply by all who knew her.
Survivors include her sons, Jamie Wilson of Pelion, SC; sisters, Betty (Danny) Autrey of Pelion, SC and Carolinda Getz of Lexington, SC; a brother, Wayne (Terrie) Fowler of Gaston, SC; a long-time best friend, Amanda Beutler; life-long friend, Agnes Jones; sisters-in-law, Fleetie Fowler and Lorena Fowler along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased in death by a son, Shawn Wilson; brothers, Maurice Fowler, Elvin Fowler and Marvin "Brad" Fowler; a brother-in-law, George Getz and a sister-in-law, Louise Fowler.
