Penelope Ann-Marie "Poppi" Smith

Penelope "Poppi" Ann-Marie Smith, born on July 19, 2024, to her loving parents Angle Talbert and JJ Smith, sadly passed on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
Poppi was a very happy and beautiful baby girl. She was a very active little one who enjoyed her family around her. She loved all her colored blankets in her environment and she would kick her arms and legs in excitement with all that was around her. Having her hands and her "binky" in her mouth was important to her as she learned about life. Poppi spent many days trying to roll over as she met all her milestones in her very brief life. She will be forever loved and deeply missed.
Poppi was preceded in death by her sister, who met her at Heaven's Gates, Octavia Marie-Lynn Talbert; and grandparents, Jimmy and Gina Smith, and Roger Talbert.
Left to cherish her memories are her parents; grandparents, Andrea and Jimmy Lawson; great grandparents, Howard and Carla Stackhouse, Patricia Talbert and Plaint Smith; aunts, Breanna Carte, Destany Carte, Brianna Frame and husband, John; uncle Brayden Carte; great aunts, Crystal Schiefer, Lisa Stackhouse, Becky Crites; great uncles, John Schiefer, Howard Stackhouse, Jr., and Mark Crites; many great cousins, Hailey, Taylor, Marissa, Austin, Wyatt, and Chelsie.
Penelope's Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 1 to 2 P.M. on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, WV.
Her burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery, Gassaway.
