With great sadness we share the passing of Penny Augustine of Kingston, NY, who lost her courageous battle with cancer on July 17, 2025. Penny was 64 years old.

Penny is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Michael P. Augustine of Kingston, her devoted son, Michael Anthony Augustine and his wife Ashley of Kingston, her adoring siblings, Linda Boice, Wendy Boice (James), Corey Halwick (Kathy), Joel Halwick (Karen), Harold Halwick (Jill), Donald DuBois (Ginny), and Floyd Halwick (Barbara), her dear friend and brother in law, Ronald Augustine and his wife Eileen, her sister in-law, Karen Augustine, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Penny attended Kingston High School and State University of NY at New Paltz.

After meeting her future husband Michael, she began working tirelessly, helping to establish the family business, Augustine Nursery. Penny had remarkable patience and was always willing to share her exhaustive knowledge with homeowners, contractors, and landscape professionals alike. Many devoted clients would insist on consulting only with her. No question or concern ever went unanswered.

She also loved relaxing by the ocean and enjoyed reading her magazines and watching the waves. Most importantly, Penny lovingly shared her heart and home with her late in-laws, her dear nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family. Holiday events and celebrations brought joyous memories to all who attended.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Monday July 21, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm.
