It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of our cherished mother and grandmother,
Penny Lanette Coffelt, 59, of Arkansas City who left us peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at her home.
Penny was the heart and soul of our family-loving, strong, kind, and endlessly giving. Her warmth was felt by all who knew her, and her presence brought comfort, laughter, and wisdom to every room she entered. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she spent her life caring for others with grace and compassion. Though we are heartbroken by her loss, we are grateful for the many memories and the love that will live on in all of us.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home in Arkansas City. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Penny was born February 17, 1966 to Gary Coffelt and Latitia (Jones) in Wellington, KS. She attended schools in Salina. Penny and Ron Cole have been together for years. She worked in the casino industry for 27 years.
Penny leaves behind a legacy of love in her children and grandchildren: is survived by her husband, Ron Cole; children, Matthew Bruno, Michael Cragg, Darius and Devon Bruno-McBride; mother, Latitia Newman; sisters, Shawna Castillo and Rebecca Eastman; brothers, Scott Ferguson and Jimmy Ferguson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Coffelt; daughter, TiOnna Bruno and son, James Christy.
She was truly one of a kind, and she will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved.
