Penny Constance DeMone, age 72, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones, on Friday, April 25, 2025.
Penny was beloved by many; she had a heart of gold and a deep desire to help others. She loved spending time with family and friends, listening to rock-and-roll music, puttering in the yard, and traveling. A gracious host, Penny's home was a cherished gathering place through the years.
Born on August 13, 1952, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Charles P. and Theodora Theodore, Penny brought joy and warmth to every stage of her life. In 1971, she married David R. DeMone, who preceded her in death in 2009. Penny had a long and fulfilling career at Brunswick Bowling Center in Roswell, Georgia, where she led the youth bowling program and touched the lives of countless young bowlers for over 20 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Jodi, and her husband Russell; her son, Justin, and his wife Kelly; and her beloved grandchildren: Constance (19), Charley (16), and Jack (13).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at:
Cornerstone Christian Church
236 Etowah River Road
Dawsonville, GA 30534
