Penny J. Voyles, 77, passed away September 15, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas. Born in Marion, Indiana, August 8, 1948, to Thomas C. Cantrell and Emma Lou Hutchinson.

Raised in Wichita, she graduated from North High in 1966 and was one of four children. She worked at WSU where she retired. She went to school for cosmetology, dental assistance and bookkeeping.

Penny was married to Micheal Rollen Voyles for 41 years, is a mother to eight children, grandmother to nineteen, and great grandmother to eleven. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She enjoyed baking, reading, and watching soap operas, bowling, dancing and playing games.

Penny is survived by her husband Micheal Rollen Voyles, children Lynett (Hoy) Cates, Marshall Voyles, Brian (Maureen) Herrell, Jason (Amber) Voyles, Kimberly (Brittin) Herrell, Julie (John) McFarland, Kanya (Ried) Malcom and April (Sam) Saikia, sisters Karen (Frank) Prohaska and Jody Thorburn, grandchildren, Preston (Chrissy), Taelor, Madilynn, Jesse, Meredith, Josie, Benjamin, Rohan, Rani, Cierra, Marijane, Jamie, Micheal, Madison, Grace, Thomas, and Jacob, great grandchildren, Parker, Aswyn, Izzabelle, Liam, Lennie, Kesley, Alice, Jack, Genny, Axel, and Maxon.

Penny is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Clovis Cantrell and Emma Lou Cantrell, daughter Carrie Sue Herrell, brother Thomas Lee Cantrell and granddaughter Trinity Voyles.

Funeral services will be held September 19, 2025, at 2:00PM at Old Mission Mortuary 3424 E 21st St N. Wichita, Kansas, with visitation one hour prior.
