She was born May 8, 1962, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Carl Junior and Victoria Elizabeth (Miley) Sanders.
She is survived by her companion of 25 years, Steve Smith of Jacksonville; one daughter, Misty Sanders (spouse, Jonah Smith) of Jacksonville; two grandchildren, Teirza Bauser and Jameal Burress; three sisters; Lisa (Donald) Gallion of Ashland, Pamale Sanders of Jacksonville, and Kim (Robin) McDade of Alsey; and nieces and nephews, Amber Adams (partner, John), Krista (Mason) McGee, Mark Marquard (partner, Tyler), Drew Gallion, Shaunda Gallion (partner, Alexander), Tiffany Bratsch, Brett Bratsch (partner, Kristin), Rochelle (Blake) Schaefer, Robby McDade, and Brittany McDade. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Sherry Sanders Marquard; and her niece, Shawna Kay Sanders-Bratsch.
Penny loved cats, especially her baby, Coltrain. She enjoyed crafts and loved having her nieces and nephews around.
Private family services will be held at a later date. The Williamson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
