Penny Jeanne Schinz, passed away at the age of 77, at Ft. Walton Beach Rehab on August 23, 2025. Penny was born on October 16, 1947, to Lorraine and Albert W. Schinz in Peoria IL. Penny moved with her military family, living in Germany and many places in the United States until they settled in Ft. Walton Beach, FL in 1971. Penny had a big heart for animals (dogs and cats) and loved putting jigsaw puzzles together, reading books and she faithfully watched her soaps and read her Soap Opera Digest every week.

Penny is predeceased by her dad, Major General Albert W. Schinz (1985) and her loving mom Lorraine (2014). She is survived by her brothers Freddie W. Schinz (Sharon) and David A. Schinz (Celia), Nephews Zac Schinz, Brandon Schinz (Carrie), Justin Schinz, and nieces Krystle Goodwin (Trey), Trisha Accord (Wayne), Tiffany, LeAnne Hoss (Jimmy), and numerous Aunts, Cousins, Great Nieces and Nephews.

There will be a private burial at a future undetermined date. Donations may be made to the Stone 12 Building fund at First Baptist Church, 126 Harbeson Ave. SE, Ft. Walton Beach FL 32548 or any charity of your choice.
