Penny Lee Ward, 76, of Mount Vernon, OH, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024, surrounded by family and friends.
Penny was born November 20, 1947, in Wendell, ID, to James Davis Williamson and Billy Jean McBride.
She worked in both retail and hotels as a housekeeper. She liked Casino’s and the Veterans organizations. She loved animals, especially Rita, her dog. Her children and grandchildren were her life. She was a great friend, and never knew a stranger, and would talk with everyone around. A good conversationalist, especially about her animals.
Penny will be deeply missed by her children Marti (William) Elayer-Roberts, Travis Ward and Dante Ward; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, her sisters Patricia Corbin and Elane Martin and many friends including caregivers Kelli and Briana. Penny was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Michael, and a son named Steve.
