Perry Abbott Obituary
Born: January 6, 1936 | Died: May 11, 2025
Perry Don Abbott, age 89, of Maryville passed away on Sunday, May 11th. He was born to Carl and Stella Abbott of Walland.
He graduated from Walland High School and Maryville College. He also was a Veteran of the United States Army.
He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
He took over Abbott's Market in Townsend, from his father, as a temporary job in 1961. His job lasted for thirty years, where many memories and friends were made.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Carl and Stella Abbott; sister, Reba Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Grindstaff Abbott; son, Don Abbott, Jr. (Joy); daughter, Amy Burnett (Raymond); grandchildren, Rachel and Ben, Lauren, Lindsey, Levi, Luke; eleven precious great-grandchildren; special friends, Johnny and Don.
Family and friends will gather for graveside services at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, in Townsend on Thursday, May 15th at 12:00 PM.
