Perry D. Brown

Perry DuPra "Pree" Brown of Rockford departed this earthly life January 6, 2026. He was born December 22, 1970 in Rockford the son of Perry and Diane Brown. Perry was employed as a machine operator by Combined Metals Company 11 years. He loved to grill, play video games, lifting weights, dancing, singing; enjoying life to the fullest. Perry coached football at Northwest Community Center. He graduated from East High School class of 1989.

Perry leaves to cherish many loving memories, his daughter Av'yon Brown; sons, Octavius Brown-Wilks and Trenton Wilks; eight grandchildren, Der'yon, Melina, Amryn, Trentity, Zadiah, Aaliyah, Journey, Thailon; mother, Diane Bailey-Murray; sister, Eunice Brown; and brother, Lytrell McCoy; niece, Syntoria Goldsmith and nephew, Jaquavian Brown; girlfriend, Heather Harris; and her children, Ehmad, Ehmari and Ehryniah; a host of other relatives and friends including best friends, Lamar Blankenship, T.D. Jackson and Derrick White, special cousin, Darnell Brown; special aunt, Barbara Wagner. He was predeceased by his father Perry Brown and stepfather William Bailey-Murray Jr.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2026 at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday January 19, 2026 at Pilgrim Baptist Church 1703 S. Central Ave. Family will greet friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
