Perry Maggi Obituary

Survived by wife, Theresa, son David and daughter-in-law Annette, and grandchildren Amelia and Olivia.

Perry was a super humble hard working dedicated and devoted husband, father, and grandpa as he only believed in three paths of life which were, God, Family, and Work. One of his key ingredients to being happy was always having a tune in his head. Perry's favorite religious mantra was God without man is still God. Man without God is nothing.

Perry had a true passion for playing the piano and classic/jazz music. Some of his top interests included gardening and planting fruit trees, long workouts with weights, treadmill, biking, reading books about history, and watching Italian soccer. As a kid grew up during very challenging times of a German occupation/World War 2 in Italy. Was an alter boy at the local church and there discovered his incredible talent for music when a priest taught him how to play the organ. Drafted into the Italian army and some years later would later work in Milan where his skill in piano started to flourish. In the 1960s moved to Canada and was playing piano professionally with a band. Even performed along with the likes of Glenn Miller. Became a certified piano technician by having to read two sets of books. One translation book of Italian/English in order to study the actual textbooks written in English. Would go on to work for Baldwin piano and even tuned the piano for the very successful 70s/80s band Chicago.
Finally settled and moved to Rochester due to his brother Americo living here and meeting his lovely wife Theresa. Perry then went onto become a frame technician at the Rochester Telephone Company for nearly three decades.
Perry was a great man and will be dearly missed.

Perry's Funeral Service will be held at Noon THURSDAY September 4th in the Interfaith Chapel of Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton Rd. S). Interment White Haven Memorial Park.
