Perry Mathis Obituary
Perry Allen Mathis,56, of Lee County, GA, passed away January 23, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home. Casual dress is requested. Rev. Michael Brooks will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home. The family is also accepting visitors at Paige and Perry's home, 609 Middle Road S Leesburg, GA.
Perry was born on September 23, 1968 to Velton and Lila Mathis, Sr in Rockledge, FL. He grew up in Lee County, GA where he resided his entire life. Perry retired from Albany Water, Gas and Light as Deputy Director of Utility Operations after thirty five years. He was a member of Albany Christian Church. Perry enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his horse.
He was preceded in death by his father, Velton Hayward Mathis, Sr.
Survivors include his mother, Lila Faye Evans , his wife, Paige Mathis, his sons, Cody Mathis, Colton Mathis and Aubrey Mathis, his siblings, Kathy (Mike) Albright, Butch (Donna) Mathis and Lyle Mathis all of Lee County, GA and a granddaughter, Elleigh Kawalek of Westchester, OH.
