Perry Everett Poe

Campbellsburg, Indiana

Perry Everett Poe, 70, of Campbellsburg, Indiana, entered his heavenly home on October 1, 2025, in Salem, Indiana, with his family’s love surrounding him. He was born on January 7, 1955, to Paul Everett and Betty Drew Poe.

Perry grew up on his family farm in Livonia, where he fell in love with the country life. Farming shaped who he was—hardworking, kind, and always happiest outdoors. He was a true people-person who never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel welcome.

He spent many years as a Schwann’s truck driver, building friendships all over the community. Still, his heart was always on the farm. He spent years as a dairy farmer before driving for Schwann’s, and after retiring, he returned to farming, raising goats and lending a hand to many in the local Amish community. His faithful dog, Wook (Chloe), was his constant companion, often riding along on his many trips.

The love of his life was his wife, Cindy. They were married July 3, 2004 and were married over 20 years. Their marriage was built on deep companionship. They worked side by side on the farm, shared countless travels together, and enjoyed life’s simple joys.

More than anything, Perry was proud of his children and grandchildren. He loved telling stories about them and celebrating their accomplishments. His family was the joy of his life. His legacy will live on through them.

Perry is survived by his wife, Cindy Lee Poe of Paoli; his children, Jason (Christina) Poe of Bedford, Cheyenne Poe Stone (Chris) of Scottsburg, and Chantel Poe Seale (Jared) of Scottsburg; and seven grandchildren—Dahlia, Easton, Brooks, Moxen, Huck, Juna, and Judson. He is also survived by his sister, Becky Poe Holt (Calvin) of Brownsville, KY;

Sister-in-law Kathy (Dean) Garrison of Paoli; brother-in-law Rick (Lois) Lee of Mitchell, and sister- in-law, Vicky Dunwoody of Mitchell, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Andy Dunwoody (Mitchell).

Perry’s life was marked by kindness, hard work, and love. He will be deeply missed but always remembered by those who knew him.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home. (226 West Campbell Street Paoli, IN)

Visitation is to be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, October 6, 2025, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Tuesday, at the Dillman-Scott Funeral Home.
