He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alice Armstrong, and his two children, Robert Armstrong and Kae Armstrong. He is survived by his three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who will carry on his legacy.
Pete proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963, where he was stationed in West Virginia. Pete was best known as a cornerstone of the Ocoee community, particularly for the countless years he devoted to coaching Ocoee Little League. Known as a tough but fair coach, he was someone every player wanted to play for. His impact reached far beyond the field, and he is fondly remembered by generations of former players and their families. In honor of his unwavering commitment to youth sports and the community, the City of Ocoee recognized Pete by naming Armstrong Alley, located at the ball field near his home.
Outside of coaching, Pete found joy in fishing, a pastime he truly loved.
