Pete L. Westermann

Pete L. Westermann, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Barbara Jean Westermann; son of the late Henry and Edna Westermann; devoted father of Ralph Westermann, Audrey (Kenneth) Schlote, Curt Westermann, Ken (Elizabeth) Westermann, and step-father to the late Greg Munzlinger; loving grandfather of Jamie (Justin) Kussman, Jacob (Abigail Brown) Schlote, and step-grandfather, Greycen Hogan; dear brother of Betty Mikenas; preceded in death by Gene (Phyliss) Westermann, Bob (Cecelia) Westermann, Vic Mikenas, and Pat Hawthorne.

Pete proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, and following his military service, he dedicated 40 years of hard work to Union Electric, now known as Ameren. He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed his dog, Shadow, and found joy in deer hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. Pete was kind, gentle, and loving, always welcoming others with open arms. He was a helpful and devoted family man who was guardian to his siblings as a young man. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Pete’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
