Peter Angelini passed away on April 22nd at St. Vincent's Hospital, Worcester, surrounded by his loving family.
Peter was born in Leominster on April 15, 1956, the beloved son of Pierino "Pete" Angelini and Priscilla M. (McNeil) Angelini.
Peter was predeceased by his parents and beloved wife of 34 years, Sandra (Ricker) Angelini in 2024. Together, Peter and Sandy enjoyed a devoted love and an enduring friendship.
Peter is survived by his brother Stephen Angelini and his wife Jean, his nephew Gabriel S. Angelini and his niece Isabella E. Angelini. He was very proud of Gabriel and Isabella and had a special place in his heart for them. He is also survived by his uncle James McNeil, with whom he shared a close bond, many cousins, and his life-long, closest friend Mark Bodanza.
Peter was loved, admired, and appreciated by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A life-long resident of Leominster, Peter maintained many friendships throughout the years. He was happy for the opportunity to spend time with many of them at the Leominster High School Class of 1974 50th reunion last year. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed hiking all the 4000 footers in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. He also enjoyed spending time on Pierce Pond and tending to his vegetable garden.
Alongside his uncle Jim, Pete ran the Two-Bit Saloon and was sole proprietor of the Living Room Lounge. He later pursued advanced education in conservation and environmental studies and worked for decades to preserve the land and protect the water and wetlands of the city of Leominster. Peter served for many years as a member of the Leominster Conservation Commission. Most recently, he worked for Aaron Industries as a trusted consultant.
Peter was proud to serve Leominster as the Ward 5 City Councilor up until the time of his death. He was always available and happy to assist in resolving the needs and concerns of his constituents. Peter believed strongly in serving others and giving back. He will be forever remembered for his big heart and his toughness in seeing to it that the right thing be done.
His family is very grateful for the dedicated critical care team at St. Vincent's Hospital who provided the best possible care for Peter and did so with exceptional compassion and care.
A funeral Mass for Peter will be held on Saturday, May 24th at 11:00 am at St. Anna Church, 194 Lancaster Street, Leominster. A procession from Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St, to St. Anna Church will take place prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Peter's name to the Leominster Veterans Center at 100 West Street, Leominster, MA.

Peter,

A trusted and gracious individual I had the pleasure to meet for consultation, advice, and examination of a property in Fitchburg under Commonwealth scrutiny for possible contamination. He was thorough and accurate in his assessment. His recommendations were absorbed with concise and excellent detail. I feel the loss of a truly remarkable individual. Our loss is Heaven's gain.
