David Max Bartlett, a beacon of kindness and friendliness, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on July 16, 1941in Shirley, MA ., David's life was marked by a deep commitment to his family, his work, and his community.

He is survived by his sons, Mark D. Bartlett of Fitchburg, John T. Bartlett and his wife Lydia of Kentucky, and his cherished daughter, Susan P. Cochran of Fitchburg. His legacy of love and guidance will live on through his adoring grandchildren, Danielle, John, Emily, David, and Kaden, as well as several nieces and nephews who looked up to him. David was predeceased by his loving wife, Roanne (Sparks), his brother Richard Bartlett, and sister Nancy Stroup. He also leaves behind his brother, Thomas Bartlett and wife Susan of Leominster, who, along with the rest of the family, will miss him dearly.

David served in the United States Air Force upon graduating from St. Bernard's Catholic High School in Fitchburg, MA. Professionally, David earned an MBA from Clark University nights while working as an accountant at Foster Grant as well as various financial institutions throughout the area, known for his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering integrity. His career spanned several decades, during which he earned the trust and friendship of his colleagues and clients alike. Even after his retirement, David remained actively involved in various associations, offering his expertise and support wherever needed.

Throughout his life, David was a model of loving-kindness. He approached every interaction with a genuine interest in others, and his gentle spirit was a source of comfort to all who were fortunate enough to cross his path. His friendship was a gift, and his memory will be treasured by all who knew him.
