Peter Berryman

The Berryman family is saddened to share the sudden passing of their beloved Peter Berryman on December 18, 2023, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune Township. He is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne, of 42 years; his loving children, Jaclyn and Austin; son-in-law Jack Conway; daughter-in-law Kristen; his grandchildren, Alexander, Nicholas, and Collete Conway, and Benjamin Berryman; mother-in-law, Ann Callow; and his twin brother, Joseph Berryman.
Peter was born April 5, 1953, to Joseph and Nellie Berryman in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He was a lifelong resident of Monmouth County who impacted countless lives over 40 years in the mortgage business as owner of both Kastle and Patriot Mortgage. He was passionately involved in many local organizations including serving as the president of the Freehold Soccer League and coach for the Freehold Phillies and St Rose of Lima. He enjoyed spending his leisure time golfing at Eagle Oaks Country Club, where he was a member, but what he enjoyed most was spending time with his family.
His generosity and presence lit up every room he walked into, with his signature laugh, magnanimous personality, and ability to bring out the best in others. He will be sorely missed by everyone who had the good fortune to know him.
Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects and share their favorite stories about Peter at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. at St Rose of Lima Church, Freehold.
