Peter L. Brindamour passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Kent Hospital at the age of 83. Peter was the beloved husband of Maryanne (McCaskey) Brindamour, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Born in West Warwick, he was the son of the late Ovide and Catherine (Fearns) Brindamour.
Peter earned a BS in Chemistry from Providence College and an MBA from the University of Rhode Island. He dedicated 33 years of his career as a Production Manager at Hoechst Celanes's Coventry Plant, retiring in 2005. Peter was known for his intelligence, sense of humor, and love for competition and sports. He enjoyed golf, bowling leagues, and coaching his sons' youth baseball and basketball teams. He also cherished taking his family to sporting events, camping, and hiking.
Peter is survived by his loving wife Maryanne and their sons: Chris Brindamour (wife Lori), Tim Brindamour (fiancée Joan), Scott Brindamour (wife Noelle), and Mark Brindamour. He was a cherished "pepe" to Christopher, Corey, Justin, Jack, Lauren, Katie, and Sam. Peter was predeceased by his parents Ovide and Catherine Brindamour, as well as his siblings David, John, Brian, and Brenda Carey. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Visitation for Peter will be held on Friday, July 12, from 4-7 p.m. at Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown, RI. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis De Sales Church, 381 School Street, North Kingstown.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
