Peter James Carbert, affectionately known as "Pete" to many, passed away on August18, 2025, at his home in Tampa, Florida, just days before his 58th birthday. BornAugust 24, 1967, in Minneapolis, MN, Pete was the beloved son of Arthur Carbert andSara Leigh Hoidal Carbert and brother to Molly Burroughs. Throughout his life, Pete'sspirit was defined by kindness, creativity, enthusiasm, quick wit, and love for both familyand friends.Pete grew up in Tampa, where his athleticism shone on the swim team at Leto HighSchool and as a passionate water-skier and youth baseball player. He earned hisbachelor's degree in business administration from Valdosta State University in Georgia.Pete's career was marked by his success in sales and mortgage brokerage, mostnotably with Wells Fargo, and Uplink/GPS. He held a variety of roles, including his earlydays as an employee at Stein Erickson's lodge in Park City, Utah, and salesman withMegabyte International in Tampa. In recent years, Pete worked independently as acontractor and Uber driver, connecting with individuals from all walks of life.A devoted friend, Pete's warmth and generosity touched all who knew him. Pete'sgreatest joy was his daughter, Kennedy Paige Carbert, as shown in picture below. Heshared with her a love of adventure, sports and surfing. He treasured travels to CostaRica and always dreamed big. A devoted dog lover, Pete found companionship in hiswhite Labrador, Tank, and held a great love for all family pets.Pete is survived by his parents, Arthur and Sara Carbert, his sister Molly Burroughs, herdaughter Chloe, and his beloved daughter Kennedy. An intimate, casual-dress, family"Celebration of Life" is planned at Montage Deer Valley, 9100 Marsac Ave, Park CityUtah 84060 4:00-6:00 pm MST, with his ashes to be released October 12th near the skiareas he enjoyed.
