Peter Michael Casale, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and esteemed veteran passed away on February 20, 2026, in Port Jefferson, New York. Born on December 3, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, Peter lived a life marked by dedication to his family and country.
A proud Vietnam War Veteran, Peter served with honor, reflecting values of courage and commitment that resonated throughout his entire life. His military service not only forged his character but also deepened his appreciation for the freedoms enjoyed by his loved ones.
Peter is survived by his loving wife, Rose Casale, who was his steadfast partner through life's many trials and triumphs. He leaves behind a legacy of love as a devoted father to his children: Laura (Stephen) Molinelli, Peter (Jo Ann) Casale, and Anthony (Susan) Casale. Peter cherished his role as a grandfather, taking immense pride in his grandchildren: Cassandra, Kathryn, Madison, Christina, Sophia, Peter, and Marcus, all of whom brought joy and fulfillment to his life.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation services on February 25, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home located at 406 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901. A prayer service will follow from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM on the same day. Peter will be laid to rest with honor during interment services on February 26, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Calverton National Cemetery, located at 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, NY 11933-1031.
Peter Michael Casale will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family, his service to his country, and the love he shared with all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence will be deeply missed but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family.
