Peter A. Castiglione, age 101, a man whose life resonated with service, love, and dedication, passed away on May 15, 2024, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who knew him. Born in the Bronx, NY, Peter's journey was one of remarkable depth and breadth, touching the lives of many along the way.
Peter embarked on his professional path with Sears Roebuck, where his commitment and work ethic shone brightly. Yet, it was his calling to ministry that truly defined his purpose. As a devoted minister for the Assembly of God, Peter's compassionate spirit and unwavering faith touched countless souls.
Fueling his thirst for knowledge and adventure, Peter pursued aviation school, alongside earning a degree in ministry, embodying the ethos of lifelong learning and service to others.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Peter found solace and joy in a myriad of hobbies. From woodworking to nurturing gardens, he poured his heart into every endeavor. His passion for helping others extended to prison and nursing home ministries, where he offered comfort and support to those in need. Notably, Peter possessed a unique skill for cuckoo clock repair, a testament to his meticulous nature and hands-on approach to life's challenges.
Peter's journey was not without its sorrows. He endured the loss of his beloved wife, Helen, and son, Dan, yet faced these trials with resilience and grace.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his daughter, Edith Valentini (Levino), sons Peter A. Castiglione and Joe Castiglione, daughter-in-law Linda Castiglione, Sister Mary De Martini, brothers Andrew and Daniel Castiglione, along with a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each a testament to the love and devotion he shared.
A service honoring Peter's life will be held at a later date at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, where friends and family will gather to celebrate his enduring legacy of faith, love, and service.
