Obituary of Peter J. Chiarolanzio
Peter J. Chiarolanzio, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully at Morristown Medical Center on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the age of 66.
Family was at the heart of Pete's life. He was a wonderful son to his father, Peter V. Chiarolanzio, and a loving brother to his four sisters, Sherry Chiarolanzio, Susan Mazzarella, Jill Trainor and her husband Brian, and Wendy Petrosine, as well as his brother Paul Chiarolanzio and Paul's wife Christine. Pete's love also extended to his five cherished nieces and nephews-Gianna Mazzarella, Olivia and Emily Chiarolanzio, and Nicholas and Ashley Petrosine, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
Pete was predeceased by his mother, Arlene Chiarolanzio, in 2019.
A lifelong resident of Florham Park, Pete was a proud graduate of Hanover Park High School, where he laid the foundation for a life dedicated to service.
Pete was a skilled electrician, known for his unwavering commitment to his craft. He began his work career with EJ Albert & Son in East Hanover, NJ and later with Tore Electric Company in Dover, NJ. His professionalism and dedication earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike. In addition to his work as an electrician, Petewas the owner and operator of Custom Sound Service, a venture that allowed him to share his passion for audio production and event services. His enthusiasm for his work was evident, and he took great pride in ensuring that every event he was a part of was a success.
Beyond his professional life, Pete was a true "jack of all trades". His remarkable ability to fix anything, from electrical appliances to mechanical devices, made him thego-to person for family and friends alike. He offered his reliable, technical advice generously and was always ready to lend a helping hand without ever seeking anything in return. His dependability and kindness were hallmarks of his character, and he was cherished by all who knew him.
Pete's passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who loved him. He will be missed beyond measure, but his family finds solace in the knowledge that he is at peace and reunited with his beloved mother.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visitation for Peter on Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison. For those who wish to attend the mass virtually, please visit www.svmnj.org/livestream-mass
Interment will follow at St. Vincent's Cemetery, Madison.
