Peter Devanney Obituary
He was a graduate of East Catholic High School, attended Providence College, and was the Advertising Director at Highland Park Market for many years. Pete was known for his quick wit and sense of humor-always ready with a laugh or a joke. A lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan, he also enjoyed horse racing, following the dogs, and the excitement of the NCAA tournament.
He is survived by his siblings, Jane Burgess of California, Mary Miner of Manchester, Tom and Kelly Devanney of California, Tim and Mary Pat Devanney of Manchester, and Anne Devanney of Manchester; stepmother Irene Devanney of Manchester, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 12, beginning at 10:45 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. James Church, 896 Main Street, Manchester. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m.
