Peter J. Dorchak

Peter J. Dorchak, 68, of Howell, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on December 15, 2024 from his battle with ALS.

Born in Montclair, Peter grew up in Roseland. Later he lived in Tinton Falls, Freehold, and settled in Howell over 20 years ago. Peter began his career as a postal worker in the Roseland Post Office and retired from Freehold Post Office. He worked for the USPS for over 48 years earning many accolades for safety, attendance, and outstanding service. He enjoyed seeing the friendly faces on his route and walking throughout the town.
In his spare time Peter loved history, visiting historical sites, oldies music, photography, planes, trains, birds, and watching old movies and his Yankees. Peter was a collector of autographed movie posters and baseball trading cards.
Predeceased by his parents, George Jr. and Ann P. Dorchak, along with his brother, George Dorchak III.
He is survived by his beloved son, Peter J. Dorchak Jr.; loving siblings, Richard A. Dorchak, Jo-Ann Dorchak Gay, Kristine Dorchak, and Susan Dorchak Williams.
