It is so sad to hear of Pete's passing. A lot of great memories growing up in Jr High and High school. To Linda and John, Paul, Marc and the rest of the Duncan family members and friends, our thoughts and prayers are with you always.

About a week into double sessions 1977 the coaches were having a hard time finding players at the inside linebacker positions. The guys they were trying were really lineman and it wasn't working. Coach Ornato walked up to a drill and told the coaches... you need someone quick enough to get there before he's blocked, you need someone like (scanning the players} like Duncan. Duncan get over here! with about 30 seconds of coaching on how to play the position he had never played before they screamed run the play! Nobody touched Pete and CRASH! He dropped the running back behind the line of scrimmage. Coach Ornato turned to the coaches with his arms extended, palms up, bobbing his head with a big smile on his face and said.... Now is that coaching or is that coaching.
Pete was a great linebacker and a great guy. Although I don't think I have seen him since 1980 I will miss him.
My condolences to Linda, his son John and the Duncan and Connal families.
