Peter Fegan Obituary
Peter was born to Bernard and Bridget (Lynch) Fegan in Kilcogy, Mullahoran, County Cavan, Ireland. He emigrated to the US in 1959.
Peter met his late wife Colette as a young man living in Ireland, and they were married there in 1965. He was employed as a printing pressman with The New York Times for over four decades. He built a loving and happy life with Colette and his four children. Peter derived much pride and joy in taking his family back and forth to Ireland each and every summer to spend time with his large extended family.
Peter is predeceased by his wife Colette, his son, Seán, his parents, his brother Bart, and his sister Katherine. He is survived by his son Peter (Christine) Fegan, his daughters Anne Marie (Michael) Hartney and Catherine (Christopher) Curley; grandchildren Sean, Shannon, Emma, Colette, Timothy, and Fiona. He is also survived by brothers Brian (Julia), Seamus (Elizabeth), and Noel Fegan, his sister Maureen (Liam) Browne, his brothers-in-law Patrick Conway and Sean (Helen) Lynch. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins living in both the US and Ireland.
Visitation is on Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, July 21, 2023 at St. Catharine's Church in Blauvelt. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet.

The nicest gentleman of Blauvelt. He was always kind and considerate. I will miss him dearly. Now he is with the angels among us.

Dear Catherine and Chris, My fondest memory of your dad was the loving way he cared for Colette when she was just a baby. He never took his eyes off of her. Best granddad ever!
