Peter Guenter

Funeral services for Peter Guenter, age 53 of Wellman, Texas, will be held Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Colony Mennonite Church with Bishop Peter Janzen officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mr. Guenter was born in Mexico in May 26, 1972 to Anna (Fehr) and Pedro Guenter. He married Margarita Thiessen in Mexico on August 7, 1994. He was a member of Old Colony Mennonite Church and worked as a farmer and truck driver. Peter was a skilled man, always thinking of ways to get things done; when he set his mind on something he wanted to do, he always found a way to do it. He didn't take life for granted.

Peter Guenter passed away in Mexico on Monday, December 15, 2025. He is preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his wife, Margarita Guenter of Wellman, Texas; three daughters, Justina Neudorf and husband Jacob of Wellman, Sara Peters and husband Jacob of Seminole, and Kloe Guenter of Wellman; his father, Pedro Guenter of Seminole; one brother, Frank Guenter and wife Lisa of Seminole; six sisters, Margarita Fehr and husband Jacob, Anna Dyck and husband David, both of Mexico, Susana Guenter of Seminole, Lisa Martins and husband George of Mexico, Tina Loewen and husband Ben, and Lena Loewen and husband Pancho, both of Seminole; and five grandchildren.
